Myofascial Practitioners Course for Canines
For many years, the veterinary community has ignored or downplayed myofascial pain. In human medicine, we now know that between 30-80% of musculoskeletal pain originates from a myofascial source. The same may be true in animals. This foundational course aims to teach you the fundamentals of fascia, muscle, and myofascial pain, palpation techniques, diagnostics, and treatment protocols as well as cover various modalities and teach you manual therapy techniques. More than 20 muscle groups are covered including the myofascial trigger points that affect them. We go over various treatment options so that you will feel comfortable and capable when applying them to your patients. These techniques are quick and easy to use in practice, ensuring a faster return to function and a more effective treatment result. The course is approved by the AAVSB for 8 CEU.
